This ministry calls us to be servants of the Living Word of God. In proclaiming the readings at the Liturgy, the Lector does more than simply read. A Lector's spirituality must include an understanding of Holy Scripture as God's Living Word made present to mankind throughout history, but most fully present in the person of Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh. The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC), enhances communication, coordination and collaboration in the parish of diverse activities, programs and traditions. The PPC serves as a liaison among many activities and groups in the parish to vitalize the faith and communal growth. For more information please click here to contact our Pastor, Father Anderson.
When we pray for the sick or needs of others we are blessed. For twenty years IC Parishioners have been loyal members of our prayer phone tree, praying for the sick, the troubled, and the needs of others.
We know our network is God’s compassion.
If your family duties keep you home, if you are young or elderly, if you want to pray for others, we need you.
Our work is easy, the burden light.
Please call, we’d love to hear from you.

The Ministers of Care are men and women mandated by our parish to make pastoral visits and bring holy Communion to those parishoners who are confined to their homes. They also bring the caring and prayers of our Immaculate Conception community to those who can not be with us. To have someone in your family visited, contact Ann Moorman at (847)433-0130 Ext. 108 or click here to email.
There are many ways you are welcomed to become involved in the faith community here at Immaculate Conception. You may chose to be one of our Extraordinary Ministers of Communion at weekend masses, or perhaps you'd like to share your public speaking talents and be a Lector. Perhaps your goal is to serve others and you'd like to volunteer supporting Soup Kitchen or providing outreach through our Ministers of Care program.
Whatever your talents, your involvement is important to our community! We greatly appreciate all our volunteers and their commitment to spreading joy in the name of our Lord.
The Parish Finance Council is a consultative group established to advise the Pastor in matters pertaining to the financial affairs of the parish. The relationship between the Pastor and the council is one of support and collaboration. For more information please contact our Pastor, Father Anderson.
